Project

Monitoring Consumption Switzerland is a joint initiative of the University of St. Gallen, the University of LausanneE4S, and Novalytica, supported by SIX, Worldline as well as the Swiss Payments Association.

We are using aggregated and anonymized payment data to shed light on consumer spending in Switzerland.

Feel free to browse through our dashboards, investigate our fact sheets, read our featured analyses, listen to one of our presentations or take a closer look at our comprehensive media review in all national languages.

If you would like to receive regular updates on our latest insights an analyses, subscribe to our blogposts. And should you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate to write an email at monitoringconsumption@unisg.ch.

All of our data is freely available to the public and accessible on our site. If you use it for your own analyses, we would welcome a reference to our project. For media and research publications, please also acknowledge the data owners who make this project possible: Worldline for terminal acquiring data and SIX for debit card issuing data.
